How To Learn WordPress 5.0 Quickly

WordPress 5.0 (aka Gutenberg) was recently released and brings with it a MAJOR change to the WordPress editor.

The WordPress editor is now a “block based” editor. It enables you to create awesome website layouts using blocks (kind of like Divi and Elementor).

The new editor gives you the ability to move the blocks around and the blocks can contain text, images, audio, photo gallery, media, lists, buttons and more.

Needless to say, this is a MAJOR change for WordPress 5 and may take some time to get used to it.

One way to get up to speed quickly is to grab a course designed to teach you all about WordPress 5 and the new editor.

My buddy, Charles Harper and his partner Jonathan Teng created a brand-new 20-video course all about WordPress 5.0 entitled Expert Editing With WordPress 5.0.

  1. GREAT article, Jay (and the 1st mention I’ve seen anywhere), but I’m one of those people who’s not going to be embracing this change. I understand that the block-type editor is going to make WP blog-posting a lot easier for those who aren’t HTML/CSS fluent. For me, the problem is that I’m in this group 😆 – I know the change is coming to the WP ecosystem, but I worry that I won’t have the granular control I need (and a lot of the reason I use HTML/CSS for my content presentation). I’m hoping there’ll be a sort of fall-back for insertion of of pre-generated HTML content templates like I’m fond of. I can only hope. Thanks for another useful article, Jay.

    1. Rob, yes. The key for me over the past year has been finding and promoting solid recurring payment products. As those numbers add up it makes for a “somewhat” predictable income each month that can fund any expenses I have and also bring in extra money to pay bills or whatever. After being in it for the past 3-4 years I wish I could say I make thousands every month, but so far it’s not the case. I try to remind myself that I’m learning a whole new set of skills and am limited in the time I have. I’m just trying to plan and move forward at a steady pace and know over time this online business will continue to grow as long as I don’t give up. Are you trying affiliate marketing?

      1. Yes I have been working on my blog and working in marketing my offers from Power Lead System for about 6 months now. I am like yourself, doing this part time… and sometimes finding the time and sometimes the money (for paid traffic) is hard. I keep plugging away though

      2. PLS is basically an affiliate offer for other Network and Online marketers to have a set of tools to help them create funnels, splash and lead capture pages, marketing training thru weekly webinars, all with residual/passive income thru downlines
